Introduction

The recent Smart Brokers AI Playbook webinar brought together real conversations from innovative technology leaders about how AI is actually being used in day-to-day workflows. We polled hundreds of attendees, and the results made one thing clear – AI adoption is already underway (no real surprise here), but there’s still a gap between interest, compliance, and confident, consistent use.

Is AI the future?

AI is no longer something brokers can sit on the sidelines and watch. It’s already embedded in day-to-day workflows, and the shift is happening faster than most expected.

44.8% are actively using it and another 52.9% are exploring how it fits into their business.

The message is clear - the brokers building their AI capabilities now are the ones building momentum.

The importance of AI

For attendees, AI is quickly becoming less of an optional tool and more of a core business layer.

83.3% of brokers now see AI as essential to how they run their business.

Dalibor framed it around outcomes, not noise.

“This is about shortening the time it takes to complete critical tasks, while still keeping control and responsibility with the broker.”

Michael Richardson, CEO of Cynario AI reinforced the commercial reality:

“If you understand the value of your time, you start to see exactly how AI creates ROI in your business.”

AI isn’t replacing brokers – it’s removing the friction that holds them back.

The growing use of AI tools

The panel showcased a growing ecosystem of tools already in use, moving beyond experimentation into real workflows.

40.9% of brokers are already using three or more AI tools in their business.

Dalibor highlighted three core capabilities inside Salestrekker 2.0  – Compliance AI, Translate AI and Policy AI.

“You can generate 1,000 to 2,000 words of compliance notes in seconds, but the broker still reviews, edits and owns the outcome.”

Michael’s focus was policy intelligence, removing hours of manual searching.

This is where AI starts to feel less like a tool and more like infrastructure.

Where do you see AI being the most helpful

The strongest theme across the discussion was simple - time recovery. But what does this REALLY mean? AI-driven time recovery gives brokers more capacity to write deals, respond faster, strengthen client relationships and grow their business without working longer hours.

32.6% are using it for lender and product research, 25% for compliance, and 17.9% for client follow up during deals.

Dalibor pointed to compliance and documentation as immediate wins, where AI removes hours of manual work while improving consistency.

Michael highlighted policy research as one of the biggest daily bottlenecks now being eliminated.

Mandeep focused on speed to lead and retention, where timing directly impacts revenue.

Across all three, the pattern is consistent – AI delivers the most value when it sits inside the workflow, not outside it.

Summary Salestrekker is pushing this forward by bringing compliant, practical AI into one platform where brokers already work, rather than adding more tools to manage. It’s not about adding noise, it’s about giving brokers back time, improving consistency, and making AI something that actually works in the real flow of a deal.
