About
Kingfisher Finance Group was established to help its clients with their finance requirements, helping them navigate residential mortgages, equity options, and investment loans. With a focus on strategic finance planning and the creation of long-term relationships, Kingfisher recently switched aggregators to implement the Salestrekker platform.
“Salestrekker replaced a multitude of plugins on our previous platform. Consolidating data and workflow into one system means I can save time, focus on value-added activities and hire staff. It’s part of our ambitious growth plans,” outlined Alex Gee, Director | Finance and Mortgage Broker, Kingfisher Finance Group.
Planning for streamlined success
The move to SFG and the Salestrekker platform is one way for Kingfisher to roll out a system to support growth and systemise the business to onboard a new hire. Previously, Alex described himself as a technology fan, reviewing and using multiple pieces of software to automate aspects of the mortgage application and CRM process.
However, incorporating multiple plugins into a CRM environment was becoming 'messy,' which created a challenge when expanding the team. Recognising that Kingfisher needed a new aggregator partner and a centralised CRM, he transformed his working environment with the move, also engaging Auctus Coaching to fine-tune Salestrekker CRM automation, workflow, and tool use.
The vision for Kingfisher is to create an easy-to-use and highly organised CRM environment that can standardise existing processes but also leave room for customisation in the future as the Group grows. With the rollout of Salestrekker 2.0 and its additional customisation capabilities, Alex realised it would help the team and benefit the client base.
“With Salestrekker, we have consolidated our customer servicing into one platform. Everything from document collection and bank statement retrieval is in the client portal. Lending comparisons, scenarios and presentations for the client just flow through,” he outlined.
Alex added: “It’s also shaving hours off the application process. It only takes me 30 to 60 minutes to have the files ready to pass to my new administration team member. That includes compliance notes, file notes, servicing calculations, and a final double-check. It's transformed how we operate."
Collaboration and automation are the name of the game
No longer needing to jump between different software apps and double checking numbers along the way, Alex has more time to focus on the client experience. This includes which processes need more automation, the build-out of task templates and templating email responses for different phases of the client journey.
Alex's outcome: "I now have more time to focus on generating new business, and I am no longer worrying about the administration process.”
The client journey is customised for each loan applicant and situation. Automating contact points provides reassurance for all parties, which is also proving beneficial for Kingfisher's referral partners.
“The partner portal is another benefit of Salestrekker. Now my referral partner network has view access to mortgage applications and the lead pipeline, which means better collaboration,” he said.
This means many partners can now automate communications directly with the Kingfisher team. For instance, the financial planner partner can log into the partner portal and assess where their referrals are. They can view notes and documents and understand the status without scheduling and following up on emails and phone calls.
“This will give me more time to triple the volume of loans we have been writing, and this is our goal,” said Alex.
Creating opportunities for clients
Salestrekker is a powerful tool for Kingfisher as Alex navigates a booming local real estate market with a key focus on helping clients achieve their investment goals. Placing a strong emphasis on educating and challenging clients to take maximum advantage of their improved equity positions.
“We’ve set up a great offering for our referred clients who are looking to grow their wealth, working in seamlessly with their accountant and/or planner to expedite this process. We really enjoy working with all clients and partners, actively assisting them to leverage their equity position into the acquisition of another property or restructuring and debt recycling where relevant,” outlined Alex.
Kingfisher is clearly differentiating itself, creating a niche to better service its existing clients and new business.
Additionally, working with Auctus Coaching has helped Kingfisher audit and improve the mortgage broking process, creating the framework to scale the business minus the administration headaches of running multiple systems.
“The move to SFG and implementation of Salestrekker has enabled us to dedicate more time and effort for client servicing. Clients benefit from our value-added insights and get to kick off an educational program to help them identify and invest in their own future financial opportunities,” Alex said.
